Raimond Torrents Fernández, founder of Torrents & Friends, started out
in the world of business events after five years of business studies (ESADE)
and three in the Marketing Department of a North American multinational
(CPC España / Best Foods). In 1987 he entered the world of show
production as the manager of Animación del Ocio S.A., a company engaged
in the management and planning of non-conventional spaces dedicated
to leisure and culture, where he started to create and produce company
events, bringing his knowledge of the business world and his experience
in show production.
In 1990 he created his own company for the creation and production of
events, Compañía de Actos Singulares, S.L., with offices in Madrid and
Barcelona, which would become, within but a few years, a clear reference
point in the sector.
In 2001, Compañía de Actos Singulares joined the Italiano Euphon S.P.A
group and Euphon Event, S.L. was created, with Raimond as its managing
director.
In 2002 he was appointed first Vice-Chairman of the Asociación Española
de Agencias de Eventos (AEAE).
In 2003 he gave up the management of Euphon Events and after a spell of
studying and retraining he created Torrents & Friends, S.L.
In 2005, Raimond Torrents published “EVENTOS DE EMPRESA. EL PODER DE LA
COMUNICACIÓN EN VIVO” (DEUSTO), the first book on company events
published by a Spanish author, featuring the collaboration of some of
the best professionals from the sector in Spain and in Latin America.
Throughout almost 20 years of uninterrupted presence in the world of
company events, Raimond Torrents has created and led projects of all
types, at national and international level, he has been part of the
panel of judges on the EIBTM awards, he has collaborated as an article
writer in different marketing and communication publications, and has
given conferences and courses, always related to event organisation and
in vivo communication.
